The saga of the Eden Group began early in the 19th
century when the Late Bansidhar Modi migrated from Rajasthan to Assam
(circa 1870) and set up a small business. His son, Late Badridass Modi, a
visionary entrepreneur, first established a business in hardware trade.
He went on to establish a Tea business having foreseen an
opportunity in the sunrise sector as early as 1920. He successfully setup a
bouquet of Tea estates and factories.
Over the past 20 years, the Eden Group has since diversified
into Real Estate, Textile Manufacturing and Information Technology.
